Streaming alerts reduce the time between a usage event arriving and a threshold notification firing. With streaming alerts, eligible alert evaluations run on a faster lane with evaluation windows as low as one minute, and you can tune evaluation speed per customer.

What’s changing

By default, alert evaluation runs on a standard cadence. Streaming alerts add:
  • A one-minute evaluation lane for eligible alert types and customers.
  • Per-customer routing so you can put only selected customers or cohorts on the faster lane, while the rest stay on the standard cadence.
  • A path to sub-minute windows where it is safe and valuable.

Use cases

  • Entitlement enforcement: Gate product access within a minute of a customer exhausting their balance.
  • Spend limit controls: Detect and respond to runaway spend on high-velocity workloads before overage accumulates.
  • Anomaly detection: Surface unexpected usage spikes faster so operations teams can investigate.
